ORGANIZATION: Victory Home Health and Hospice

Becoming a hospice volunteer is similar to helping a neighbor in need. There are no special qualifications required except that you genuinely be someone who wants to help others. Options below are what you can do as a Volunteer.

* Share your skills with us as a companion/patient care volunteer where your positive attitude and grace will benefit not only the patient but the family as well. Often times, Hospice patients and their families need a little extra care to improve their quality of life. This is where a Hospice volunteer plays such a vital role. They step in and provide companionship with the patient, read stories, share stories, watch movies, put together puzzles, or simply just be present while the caregiver is able to run errands or be away for a little bit for some time to themselves.

* Professional Volunteers such as doctors, nurses, attorneys, massage therapists, and hair stylists. Bereavement support which offers support to the family and friends who are grieving over the death of a loved one. They can make phone calls, send flowers, and attend memorial services.

* Office volunteer where you clerical skills and friendly personality are welcoming

* Bereavement volunteer where you are able to communicate with the families who are suffering the loss of a loved one with your kind words and understanding

* Special Event volunteer where you are able to assist with Victory Home Health and Hospice functions and community events.

With Victory, you can share your musical talents, baking talents, sewing and quilting talents, as well as assist with light housekeeping, light cooking, yard work and fix-it projects.

Let us know how you would like to be a part of the team and we can get you started today!
