The success of our Habitat ReStore depends on receiving and preparing donations of building materials for sale to the general public. The proceeds from the sales help fund DuPage Habitat’s mission of providing affordable housing to partner families. In addition, the ReStore provides low-cost building materials to property owners and prevents usable materials from ending up in landfills.
Deconstruction volunteers support the mission by going into buildings and homes slated for demolition, renovation, or remodeling and removing reusable items, which are then sold in the ReStore. Items that are removed include: lighting fixtures, cabinets, doors, appliances, garage doors, furnaces and other building materials that can be sold. The proceeds from these sales are then used to build future homes for Habitat.More opportunities with DuPage Habitat for Humanity

Description
DuPage Habitat for Humanity(DHFH) partners with people in your community, and all over the world, to help them build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With your support, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and for their families. Volunteers from all walks of life are Habitat's lifeline. While we are housing experts, we can't do it alone. Your help is critical to making affordable homeownership a reality in DuPage County and across the world.
