No need to wait for the holidays to give back, we'll take your contribution now! Volunteers assist in the kitchen, serve food, wash dishes, and perform other tasks as necessary for safe food handling. Flexibility and patience are key; volunteers work in close proximity with each other and with clients. Attention to detail is also important since the Hot Meals program is monitored by funding agencies and the county health department.
Volunteers working in Hot Meals must wear clothing appropriate for a kitchen environment: closed-toed shoes, T-shirt, jeans, and a cap or hairnet. Hours: Mon - Fri 9am-1:30pm.
We accept walk-ins Mon-Fri at 8:30am, visit myresourcecenter.org to submit an application. Volunteers must complete Orientation with-in 4-6 weeks of getting started.
