About

Just like in Santa’s workshop, it takes a village of elves to make Santa Skivvies Run happen. The event relies on volunteers to make sure everything runs smoothly and everyone has a happy and safe event experience. Volunteers are needed for a number of jobs including Santa’s Village setup, participant check-in and registration, and route monitoring Safety Elves!

1. Santa's Village Setup: 7:30 AM - 9:30 AM

Help us build Santa's Village! Santa’s Village will take place on Noe Street between Market St. and Beaver St. This job will require volunteers who can lift tables and tents, install decor, and post signage.

2. Volunteer Check-In: 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Volunteers with good customer service skills, organization ability, and enthusiasm are needed to help check-in volunteers and guide them to their respective volunteer shift location.

3. Refreshments/Food: 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Volunteers with good customer service skills, organization ability, and enthusiasm are needed to hand out refreshments and food to participants prior to the race start time and then again after the race ends.

4. Gear Holding: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM (with a short break in the middle)

Gear Holding will be located at Noe Street before the race. Gear Holding volunteers will assist participants with collecting and storing personal items during the race.

5. Photo Booth: 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM (with a short break in the middle)

Photo booth will be taking place between 9:30 am and 12:30pm. Participants can come and take photos against our photo backdrop using our props.

6. Greeners

Volunteers are needed to help ensure garbage is being properly disposed of in the correct location.

7. Safety Elf/Corse Monitor: 10:00 AM - 11:15 AM

Safety Elves are stationed at various intersections along the route to help ensure the safety of the runners and to enforce adherence to all traffic laws. The goal is to stop the participants from crossing the intersection against the lights and to be safe at all times in this festive romp. In addition to stopping runners at intersections, we encourage our Safety Elves to interact with the runners by asking them do something playful like jumping jacks/pushups/jog in place until the light changes. Additionally, we ask our Safety Elves to be decked out in festive outfits. All volunteers must be in place by 10:45 AM and the shift ends when the caboose runner has passed. The route is 1.5 miles long and the run begins at 11:00 AM.

8. Merchandise: 8:30AM - 12:30 PM (with a short break in the middle)

Volunteers with good customer service skills, organization ability, and enthusiasm are needed to help manage a merchandise booth.

9. Tear Down: 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

Help us strike Santa’s Village on Noe Street. This job will require volunteers who can lift tables and tents, remove decor, and remove signage. Help us build Santa's Village!
