Ginger Looking for a Home!

We are hosting a booth at the NKLA (No Kill L.A.) Super Adoption weekend at Warner Ranch Park in Woodland Hills. We need help with set up and take down, help at the booth talking to the public about fostering and adoption, handing out fliers and food samples for the dogs, selling t-shirts, cookies and brownies, and of course, loving the foster dogs on site.

We need bakers - for brownies, cupcakes or cookies. If you can bake, we would love the help!!! There is no age minimum or maximum, just make sure it's okay with the parents, please. This is a public event on public property and you must use good judgment while at the event. It's a huge event with many rescue groups and shelters. There will be dogs and cats, vendors, food trucks and lots of people.

We would love the help if you can join us and if you are a club or student needing community service hours, we are happy to complete your school or club forms. If you have any questions, shoot an email to Patti at nationalbrittanyrescue@gmail.com or call 310.994.1062. If you're shy and don't want to deal with the public, there are lots of animals to hang with at this event. If you don't want to hang with the animals but love to talk to people -- there will be lots of visitors to the event. It's always fun and it's a great venue. Jun 3-4 (Saturday and Sunday). The event is from 11-6 but we need help setting up at 10:00-10:30 and taking down at 6. You can sign up for a shift or stay the day. It's up to you.

Shift one: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Shift two: 11:45 - 2:45 p.m.

Shift three 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Shift four: 3:30 - 6:00 p.m.

We are working of fundraising for Winston, who needs a complicated surgery that is quite expensive. We are also collecting dog leashes and collars, towels and blankets so if you have any to donate or want to collect at your School, Church, Social Club, Mosque or Synagogue, we have signs and collection baskets. We also have tax deductible reciepts for donors. If you have kitty items to donate, there will be kitty charities there to accept anything you might want to donate. Please call or email with any questions and we would be delighted to meet you. Thank you for reading this post.

If you want to check out our website, please go to www.nbran.org or friend us on twitter (@brittrescue), Facebook NBRAN Brittany Rescue or friend me Patti Lavine, and you can link the event to your Facebook page.

Thank you so much and have a great day!

Patti, Monica and Winston the foster boy

Mission Statement

National Brittany Rescue & Adoption Network (NBRAN) is an alliance of dedicated Brittany rescue volunteers who share a deep love for the breed and who will work to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Brittanys in need, whether abandoned, lost, stray or surrendered to rescue for placement. As volunteers united in a common cause, we are committed to the care of these dogs in foster homes, and providing for their physical and emotional needs. We are committed in our endeavor to help them with all the resources we have available.

We pledge to maintain a community of volunteers who treat each other, and the dogs they rescue, with respect, courtesy, kindness and love. We will seek always to lend encouragement and to support one another, and to facilitate friendly collaboration and cooperation between our volunteers. We believe that by building a supportive, dog-centered organization founded on respect, honesty and integrity, we will always remain focused on the welfare of the Brittanys entrusted to our care and hold their interests uppermost in our hearts and minds. Our mission is to place these dogs in safe, loving and permanent homes with approved applicants, and to provide a supportive network for our volunteers, who after all, make our goals possible.
