Below you will find a list of our regular volunteer opportunities and other special projects.
Help in Food Closet and help in Community Closet area:
Monday - Friday | 9:30 - 12:30 AND 1:30 - 4:30 pm, 6:00 pm on Wednesday's for both areasFood Closet: Sorting, stocking, packing and distributing food boxes
Community Closet: Sorting and hanging clothing/pairing shoes, stocking items and sorting donations. Help with general maintenance and help assisting clients
Holiday Help
The holidays are the busiest months at EHP. The number of families that we serve at Thanksgiving and Christmas continue to increase each year.- There are several ways that an individual/group can help with the holidays.

Donation Pick-ups:
- Assist with small donation pick-ups
Website Design and Development
- EHP is looking for help to develop and design our website. Contact:

Front Desk Assistant/Clerical:
Answering the telephone, transferring calls and taking messages, putting clients on list for food, clothing and furniture and general office tasks.Clerical Work:
- Data Entry, filing, mailing and assemble Packets
Special Events:
- We will send out information prior to event
Gardening:
- Weeding, pruning and planting
Help with: Wednesday Night Meal served at the St. Francis of Assisi Church at: 1425 Bay Road in East Palo Alto.Every Wednesday from 2:30/3:00 to prepare meal, 5 - 6 pm to serve the meal and 6:00 to 6:30/7:00 to clean-up and put items away.
Produce Distribution
- Distribution is the 1st Tuesday of each month | 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
- Sorting and packing produce

Mission Statement
The mission of Ecumenical Hunger Program is to provide food, clothing, household essentials, client support and referral services to those in need.
Description
EHP provides boxes of food to meet basic nutritional needs of families and individuals experiencing temporary emergency needs. Since 1975 EHP has helped families and individuals who are experiencing economic and personal hardship. EHP staff and volunteers work in partnership with families to provide immediate and long-term assistance essential for survival and success. Located on a one acre campus in East Palo Alto, EHP serves working families, seniors, those on fixed incomes and people facing illnesses and other crisis. EHP is supported entirely by contributions form the community. All programs and services are available free of charge and open to those in need.
