Are you looking for a volunteer activity that not only GIVES joy, but is also joyful TO DO? We are delighted to share that we are resuming our assisted rides program to help seniors get to appointments, shop for groceries, and complete other essential errands. We are looking for vaccinated volunteer drivers who can provide a steady arm, visual guidance & support, and basic assistance at the destination as needed.
LIFE ElderCare provides training and offers flexible weekday scheduling to fit into your busy day. Rides are in Alameda County and generally take ~2 hours - and you can choose where, when, and how often you want to drive.

Description
LIFE ElderCare provides the basics of life - food, friendship, support, and enhanced mobility - to seniors, age 60 and older. Meals On Wheels delivers hot, nutritious meals; Friendly Visitors provides weekly in-home companionship; Assisted Transportation links volunteers with seniors (and non-seniors with disabilities) who need destination assistance; and Fall Prevention offers in-home, personalized services to reduce the risk of falling. For those with more complex needs, we also offer case management and care coordination throughout Alameda County.
