If helping your neighbors is something that gives you personal satisfaction, consider preparing income tax returns for low and moderate income Fox Cities taxpayers, with special emphasis on those who are age 50 and older.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide / TCE volunteers assist clients with FREE preparation and electronic submission of federal and state tax returns. No previous experience is required. Comprehensive training is provided to obtain IRS certification. Experience with using computers is necessary.
TCE helped file over 2,400 returns for 2018 at sites in Appleton, Neenah, Menasha, Kaukauna and Little Chute. Work sessions are on weekdays in four-hour segments: 8:00am-12:00 noon or 12:00 noon-4:00pm.
In addition, appointment schedulers and site greeters are also needed.
