Bereavement Volunteer for hospice:
Hospice volunteers bring comfort, dignity and respect to end-of-life care. Volunteers provide support to family members by making telephone calls, sending cards, and taking care of personal correspondence after a loved one has died. This can be done from your home or the hospice office. Opportunity for direct patient visits are available as well.

Description
Hospice provides support and care for persons in the last phases of incurable disease so they may live as fully and as comfortable as possible. Hospice recognizes dying as a part of the normal process of living and focuses on maintaining the quality of remaining life. Hospice affirms life, and neither hastens nor postpones death. Hospice focuses on caring, not curing and in most cases care is provided in the patients home, which enables families to stay together in peace, comfort and dignity.
