Deliver meals to local homebound seniors. Pick up meals at 11:00am once a week or month. Delivery takes between one or one and half hours. Volunteer groups can participate by volunteering to send a member to cover their route once a week or month.
Objective:
Deliver a hot noon meal to a client in their home. Provide a monitoring service to check on clients’ welfare.
Duties & Responsibilities:
In a timely manner, pick up meals and route information at office and deliver to clients’ homes.
Qualifications:

- own transportation
- safe driving record
- must submit and pass a background check
Supervisor: Program Manager
Time Commitment: Two hours once per month or more depending on the frequency that you prefer
Volunteer Hours Recording: Signed log in route book
Training: Provided by Program Manager or Home Delivered Meals Coordinator
Location: Metrocrest Services office and client homes

Metrocrest Services provides a wide range of emergency aid, financial assistance and services to support independent living for individuals, families and seniors.
We serve individuals living in:

- Farmers Branch
- Addison
- Coppell
- the city of Dallas in Denton County
Our services include:
- Rent assistance
- Utility bill assistance
- Food Pantry
- Budgeting and Financial education
- Employment Counseling
- Senior Services (for ages 60 & over)
- Home delivered meals
- Eat Smart, Live Strong food distributions (for PAN food recipients)
- Transportation
- Minor home repairs
- Grab bar or wheelchair ramp installations
- Medical Aid
- Vial of Life kits
- Medical equipment loans (wheelchairs, canes, transfer benches, etc.)
- Information & referrals
- Case management
- Seasonal programs including distribution of school shoes & supplies, summer food for children, holiday food and gifts, holiday baskets for seniors
