This is our most urgent need. If you can spare a place in your home to help a cat or kitten(s) while they are waiting to be adopted, we need you! We are looking for foster homes in the Springfield, Burke, Alexandria, and Woodbridge, VA area. The time frame for fostering is flexible and consistent with your schedule. We will make sure to match the fostered animal with your needs. We have needs for both short-term and long-term. Animal Allies provides medical treatment and all supplies. However, since we are a nonprofit organization, if you wish to provide supplies to help, you will be able to take a tax deduction. All we ask is that you provide a safe temporary home with lots of love and we will take care of the rest. The most important help you can provide to our fosters is exercise, affection, and a safe environment. The more foster homes we acquire, the more animals we are able to rescue.

About Animal Allies

PO Box 7040, Fairfax Station, VA 22039, US

Mission Statement

We are a non-profit animal welfare organization staffed by volunteers. Our office is located in Fairfax Station, but we have volunteers all over the Washington DC metropolitan area. All gifts are tax-deductible and are used for the following purposes: To find homes for unwanted animals. To reduce the number of unwanted animals by altering adult animals. To trap/neuter/spay feral cats to help control the overpopulation of homeless animals. To maintain a sanctuary for our less adoptable cats so they can live out their lives in peace.

Our main activities are the placement of adoptable animals; the housing of unplaceable animals; the trapping of feral cats in order to spay/neuter; the placement of feral kittens in foster homes for socialization if deemed appropriate; and the education of the public about the importance of spaying/neuterering animals. We have some independent foster homes making up a network of people who have their own list of animals.

We'll work with your schedule.
