Empower adults with disabilities and special needs in our adult day programs. A variety of volunteer opportunities are available including: assistance with lunch time activities, arts & crafts activities, coaching on computers, cooking, exercise fitness and gardening.
Volunteer shifts are available any time Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 and 3:30. We will work with your availability.
We also have volunteer opportunities in our day programs assisting with community outings, as well as in our offices including clerical and filing, document scanning and IT support. Our volunteer locations include: Elgin, Aurora, Yorkville and Batavia. Description
For over 50 years, the Association for Individual Development (AID) has provided services to individuals who have developmental, physical, and/or mental disabilities, those who have suffered trauma or those at risk.
All clients have access to vital, life enriching services including: early intervention; developmental therapy; autism programs; audiology; respite care; permanent affordable housing; developmental and vocational training; job placement and on-the-job coaching services; crisis intervention; community education and advocacy.
