West Valley Community Services (WVCS*) is looking for 1 (preferably 2) volunteers to help out with weekly Tuesday morning produce pick-up from Second Harvest Food Bank (SHFB).
Our agency, West Valley Community Services, picks up produce every Tuesday morning from Second Harvest Food Bank. The food we pick up goes directly into our food pantry to serve our clients in need. We are looking for 1 or 2 volunteers to be trained and familiar in this process of pick-up and delivery, and volunteer each week from approximately 7:00-9:30am.
Volunteers would use the WVCS box truck, so being comfortable driving a large truck is required.
The position requires two simple trainings, one with WVCS and the other with SHFB. Each lasts approximately 1 hour. Contact us to learn more about how you can help out with this special food pick-up volunteer opportunity!
