At Fidelis Hospice, we know that volunteers are an essential piece of the hospice puzzle. Volunteers provide much needed companionship and caring to patients and their families dealing with a life-limiting illness. Volunteers may play cards, talk with, listen to music, watch TV or maybe just sit quietly with our patients so that they know that people care and that they aren't alone. We welcome your unique personality and talents. Fidelis is looking for volunteers in your community to work with patients also living in your community. A free, comprehensive training and on-going support are provided to insure both you and our patients have a meaningful experience. So why not commit to giving something back? At Fidelis Hospice, our primary goals are to provide comfort and promote the dignity of the terminally ill while relieving physical, emotional and spiritual suffering. Our care is provided in the home, nursing home, assisted living facility or wherever our patients call home. We offer an holistic approach to care provided by a dedicated team of caring professionals led by a physician which includes a nurse, social worker, chaplain, hospice aide and volunteer!
