The Education and Training Center of MEND is in need of ESL morning instructors and assistants. Experience is not required in order to teach for our program. It can be a great expeirence for those who are interested in proceeding an education degree. This is a great way to give back to the community. We are flexible with schedules, but we do ask that you commit to once a week for as little as three hours. Our goal is to help induviduals learn english and be able to read and write. We can't do this without our wonderful volunteers. "MEND believes in empowering our clients through education. Literacy classes for immigrant adults help those who do not read or write in their native language. Once these students have mastered literacy fundamentals, they can move on to ESL classes. ESL students also have the opportunity to take basic computer classes."
