Mission Statement
BLUEBONNET HOSPICE MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Bluebonnet Hospice is to provide the best in comprehensive hospice care and support to families and individuals who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness for which cure is no longer indicated. Physical, emotional, social and spiritual care is provided by a medically supervised interdisciplinary team of professionals and volunteers. At Bluebonnet Hospice, we are committed to quality patient care, patient dignity, and quality improvement as we strive to provide care that is palliative, holistic and supportive. Hospice care neither hastens nor postpones death, but rather affirms life. It is our belief that through personal relationships and a caring community, terminally ill patients and their families can live with dignity and comfort as they cope with issues both during and after the final stages of life.
Description
We are not dealing with a casual fad or a matter of fashion. Instead, we are dealing -- quite literally -- with matters of life and death, and moral issues that will affect every one of us, directly or indirectly, as time goes on.
The philosophy of hospice is to affirm life by providing support and care to those in the last phase of incurable disease so that they can live as fully and comfortably as possible and die with dignity.
Without volunteers, the hospice could not provide the kinds or the scope of services which are needed to enhance the quality of the lives of our patients and their families.
