Pease fill out our online application at cnycatcoalition.org/volunteer

The Central New York Cat Coalition uses PetSmart adoption centers in Clay and Fairmount and the Luna Cafe in Syracuse (1001 E Fayette St) to find homes for rescued cats and kittens. Volunteer shifts are two hours, once a week and we are only seeking long-term volunteers and cannot accommodate people looking to fulfill community service hours. These centers are entirely volunteer staffed and we have empty shifts that we need to fill. Volunteers must be over 18 or be accompanied by a parent/guardian (children must be 14 or older). During the shift, you will play with the cats, show them to potential adopters, and do light cleaning of their cages and the center.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to change the world for homeless cats in Central New York...four paws at a time!

Description

CNY Cat Coalition's programs include rescue and adoption of homeless cats and low-cost spay/neuter programs for both rescuers and low-income individuals. We operate a spay/neuter line for the public to get appointments for their cats. We also have a call line for the public to report stray, feral, injured, or unwanted animals. Our network of volunteer rescuers and fosters work directly with the public on situations related to hotline calls. We also adopt out animals to screened forever homes through Petfinder.com, partner stores, and private adoption events.
