Opossum and Pals Volunteers work up-close with nature in this busy emergency wildlife center where thousands of ill, injured and abandoned wildlife are admitted. Help is needed to care and feed the many injured and ill wild animals that come to our facility during this fall season. Volunteer duties: feed wildlife, clean cages, prepare special diets, and the opportunity to learn special skills like administering hydration fluids sub-cutaneously, administering medication, and tubing of doves and opossums. Positions are open for Animal Caregivers who must be at least 18 years of age, and willing to learn and participate in all skills. Positions for Animal Helpers are also available for those who only want to participate in the care and feeding of animals but not administer any medical duties. Helpers must be at least 14 years of age.
