Improving lives through the power of the human-dog connection.
Our Youth-Canine Programs serve youths who need a "paw up". The youths may be academically or behaviorally challenged, disconnected, lacking a positive self-image, incarcerated, at-risk for suicide, or just searching for something that resonates with them. The life skills they learn help prepare them to be responsible employees, effective parents, leaders, and well-adjusted citizens. The dogs they train, many of which are stray, neglected or abused, also benefit by becoming more adoptable by having basic obedience skills and socialization.
Our Animal Assisted Interaction Programs serve individuals of all ages who benefit from the human-animal bond. For example, we provide visitation and therapeutic programs for: grieving children; children with learning disabilities or developmental delays; adults and children in rehabilitation and convalescent centers, schools, and hospitals; and reading programs to improve literacy and linguistic skills. Paws and Think is an affiliate of Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.). and follows their practices to assure quality interactions between dogs and children.
We'll work with your schedule.
