Compassus seeks volunteers in Northern Schuylkill County to participate in their engaging volunteer program. As little as one hour a week is helpful.
Compassus serves patients in nursing homes, or in their own homes.
Volunteers will learn about hospice services, and how to provide visits to people with a life limiting illness. They will gain an understanding of the special needs of veterans and people with memory issues.
Through their commitment Compassus, volunteers can impact patients in extraordinary ways!
Volunteers can make friendly visits, Provide caregiver relief and respite, Complementary Therapy such as: Massage, and Pet Therapy,Read,Share a special talent like music or crafts.
We provide Free training , 2 step TB test,educational opportunities, Social activities and events.

And at the heart of Hospice Compassus, we focus on compassionate options to exhaustive treatments, incorporating the wishes of patients and loved ones in all end of life decisions.
