Join the team and learn firsthand why Ardent was voted a Top Place to Work in DFW. We have a fabulous team, of which our volunteers are an essential part. Volunteers help add to the quality of a patient's time at the end of life's journey. Typical activities include - visiting, reading, listening to music and providing support to the patient's family.
Visits to patients are made in their homes or elder-care facilities in the DFW metroplex. Volunteers are matched to patients located near them. Recommended commitment level: one-hour visits each week, hopefully at least three visits per month. No special skills needed.
Training is provided, quarterly on a Saturday in our Flower Mound office. The next training will take place in the summer of 2017. Date will be determined in May. After training, there will be one more follow-up visit to our Flower Mound office, but for the most part, you'll be seeing a patient located near you.
