Join the team and learn firsthand why Ardent was voted a Top Place to Work in DFW. We have a fabulous team, of which our volunteers are an essential part. Volunteers help add to the quality of a patient's time at the end of life's journey. Typical activities include - visiting, reading, listening to music and providing support to the patient's family.
Visits to patients are made in their homes or elder-care facilities in the DFW metroplex. Volunteers are matched to patients located near them. Recommended commitment level: one-hour visits each week, hopefully at least three visits per month. No special skills needed.
All-day training will take place in our Flower Mound office. The next training will take place either on Saturday, February 1 from 9-3, and will include lunch. If you think you'd like to attend, please contact us.
After training, there will be one more follow-up visit to our Flower Mound office, but for the most part, you'll be seeing a patient located near you.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.
