SKIP is a Charity working with disadvantaged families in the El Porvenir area of Trujillo, Peru. We are currently recruiting math teachers to join our diverse and exciting Education Program.
Under supervision of the Education Coordinators, the volunteer will plan and deliver math lessons following our unique, internationally-standardised curriculum. Additionally, you will receive thorough and relevant training and support throughout your time with us.
Lessons will be conducted in Spanish, so we require an intermediate level of spoken Spanish for this position. As with any international volunteering experience, we expect our volunteers to have patience, enthusiasm, and flexibility. We ask for a minimum of 1 month commitment, as this is more beneficial to the students.

SKIP is a non-profit organization helping disadvantaged children to realize their right to an education. We work to promote quality education for economically-disadvantaged children in El Porvenir and foster the capacity of children and families to be the principal agents of change in their own lives. We work in partnership with families through holistic programs focusing on the educational, economic, emotional and social development of each child and family.
Description
Enrolling and retaining children in the education system is much more than a question of money. To ensure sustainable results, we address factors like family economy, emotional well-being, stability of home environment, nutrition, and academic skillset, all of which impact the chances of a child to enter and stay in school.
