Non-profit organization is looking for volunteers to help cultivate the soil in our Peace Parks Project and create a pathway. We volunteers are transforming vacant lots into peaceful parks. The parks located in North Lawndale will honor black heroes. Everyone is welcome to help! There is some painting and planting to do.
Anyone needing community service hours is welcome to get some hours now. Others are welcome too!
Tell us when you are available, and we will try to work with your schedule....mostly afternoons during the week and on the weekend. (between noon-4p.m)
Can you use a shovel and rake to make the ground flat, get rid of lumps and valleys, remove weeds? Can you paint letters on signs? Perhaps pour cement into molds to create spaces to walk on?
email is best form of communication!
sincerely, project manager, Dianna C. Long
