The American Cancer Society is recruiting for volunteers to serve in our Cancer Resource Center (CRC) at St. Joesph's Regional Medical Center. Trained volunteers assist cancer patients, caregivers, family members and the community with information about services, local community resources and referrals to the American Cancer Society's free programs such as Look Good...Feel Better, patient lodging and transportation assistance. Volunteers visit with cancer patients, help patients and their families use the Internet for information and offer support at a critical time. Training is provided by the host medical facility and the American Cancer Society and also includes time spent shadowing current volunteers.
