Mission Statement
The mission of the Hampton County Literacy Council is to provide a comprehensive and fully coordinated adult basic education system that will assist adults in fulfilling their human potential to participate fully in society and to ensure that all adults with limited literacy skills have the opportunities to break the cycle of poverty.
Description
Hampton County Literacy provides educational services to the adult (17+) population in Hampton County and surrounding areas. Literacy provides: basic skills in reading, writing, and arithmatic; employability skills, and PreGED classes. Students are given instruction in small groups, one-on-one lessons, and computerized lessons.
