PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Support the American Red Cross mission and give mobility to clients in Durham, NC, utilizing Red Cross vehicles to provide transportation services to and from medical appointments.
OPEN TIME DAYS
- Weekdays and/or Saturdays
- Fullday shifts available 8:00 am to 4:30 pm｠
- Halfday shifts available 8:00 am to 12:00 pm or 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
- Preferable once per week
Training and Screening Requirments:
- Complete Red Cross volunteer orientation
- American Red Cross background check (every 3 years)
- Required motor vehicle screening (annually)
Complete Red Cross Transportation Services orientation:
- Agree to Random Drug / Alcohol Screening
- Complete ridealong drive shift with current volunteer driver
- Title VI Training
- CPR / First Aid Certification
- Additional onthejob training as required
