Volunteering with Interim Healthcare Hospice offers you the opportunity to belong to a volunteer fellowship, benefit your well-being and do satisfying work to provide compassionate care to others. You will be a vital and valued member of our team.

Our volunteers tell us that volunteering with Interim Healthcare Hospice is life-changing and one of the most rewarding experiences of their lives.

The main role of a volunteer at Interim Healthcare Hospice is patient and family support. Volunteers also provide crucial assistance with administrative support, community outreach, fundraising and special projects.

Choose your best fit from a wide variety of volunteer opportunities and receive specialized free training that will give you confidence in your ability to help while being able to design your own schedule as part of an invaluable team.


Support for patients.This can include visiting, reading, taking walks, and bringing in music.


Respite and support for family members. Volunteers can assist with shopping or light household maintenance, or allow family caregivers the opportunity to take care of necessary errands, exercise, or simply have some time alone.


Administrative work. A volunteer with clerical skills can help in the office with administrative duties.

Volunteers must be able to pass a criminal background check and be at least 18 years of age. Volunteers are required to interview in person and complete our very flexible online training classes.

Hospice volunteering is not recommended for persons who have lost a loved one within the past 12 months.

The role of the Interim HealthCare Hospice team is to provide care and services that support our patients and their families as they encounter struggles in their health

We help patients and families understand the choices they have in care, and which of our services would work best for their specific scenario.

The Interim HealthCare Hospice Care Program provides individual personalized care, coordinating the services that will make patient and family safe and comfortable. Our ultimate goal is to help each individual improve their quality of life through dedicated efforts ensuring care and compassion for our patient and their families.
