ORGANIZATION: Free Library of Philadelphia

A volunteer in this position would assist in designing, implementing and managing Donatucci Branch Library landscaping projects. They would organize the planting of shrubs, trees and flowers. This is an outstanding opportunity for an urban gardener with a lot of skills and training and not the space to make dreams a reality. The branch is located in one of Philadelphia's most prestigious neighborhoods, Girard Estates in South Philadelphia. Your efforts would be greatly appreciated by the patrons, staff, and greater community for this branch is truly a center piece of a strong neighborhood. There also may be opportunities to teach horticulture and educate groups on landscaping and community beautification.
