About half of the patients at Good Shepherd Hospice live in their own homes or in the home of a family member. Most of our families are the sole caregivers of their loved ones, committing their time and energy to caring for them. To show appreciation for the commitment they've made and the hard work they do everyday we put together baskets with items just for them to help lift their day and their spirit.
We need someone to volunteer 1-2 hours twice a month to:
- help shop for the basket items and
- put baskets together at the Good Shepherd Hospice office
We need someone who is available between 8-5 during the work week.

Mission Statement
Serving People With Compassion and Dignity
Description
COMPASSIONATE ABOUT CARE. passionate about life.
At Good Shepherd Hospice, we believe that health care is more than just a diagnosis and a treatment. It's a daily exercise in making this moment...this today...the very best it can be. We're here to help our patients achieve that goal - physically, mentally, spiritually...and for whatever that means individually.
We believe that in the passing of a person’s life, there are also extraordinary opportunities for compassion, reconciliation, spiritual healing, and renewal.
Our Volunteers play a vital role in our Hospice program. From working in the office, to creating special projects at home, to visiting to provide companionship and ease lonliness, Good Shepherd Hospice Volunteers make special moments happen again and again for the patients and families we serve.
Our History - 22 Years of Comforting and Serving
Good Shepherd Hospice opened its first office in Oklahoma City in 1995. We now have a regional presence serving Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Texas. Along the way, we’ve touched the lives of more than 20,000 patients and shepherded 50, 000+ family members through their time of need. Every member of our team receives comprehensive, ongoing training. We are a member of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Association, Medicare Certified and State Licensed.
