Avalon Hospice is a full service hospice located all over TN. We serve those who are dealing with an end of life diagnosis. Our patients are vibrant members of the community who, in spite of their diagnosis are looking to connect to their community. Avalon Volunteers are able to visit with patients who may have no family members nearby, they deliver flowers, they honor the veterans who served in the military by listening to their stories or participating in Avalon's Hospice for Heroes ceremonies. There are many other opportunities to make the waning years of our patient's lives something to be proud of, from creating a memory disk using their pictures and some music; or scrapbooking their pictures for them; or even making a Life Journal full of the verbal/written history of their lives for the next generations to come. Description
Avalon Hospice is comprised of a team of doctors, nurses, aids, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers. Our approach to hospice care considers the wide range of needs patients and families experience when facing a terminal illness. Avalon's collaborative team approach ensures patients' and their families' specific needs are targeted and addressed quickly and with great compassion.
