Imagine a Western style fundraiser at the River Valley Equestrain Center under a full moon? I bet you can hear the coyotes calling right about now!

Now imagine volunteering at that event...

Help Lakeside's River Park Conservancy raise money to continue to restore and preserve the San Diego River.

Volunteers are needed to help with various projects for this event. Help set up tables and chairs, arrange silent auction items, direct parking, serve food, run errands and clean up after the event.

Individual volunteers as well as groups or clubs are invited to volunteer.

The mission of the Lakeside's River Park Conservancy is to preserve and restore the biological integrity and beauty of the San Diego River while integrating recreational, educational and cultural opportunities for youth, seniors, families and citizens of East San Diego County.

Description

Lakeside's River Park Conservancy was founded in 2001 with the mission to preserve and restore the biological integrity and beauty of the San Diego River while integrating recreational, education, and cultural opportunities for youth, seniors, and families East San Diego County.

The segment of the San Diego River in Lakeside had long been the focus of extensive sand mining operations and heavy industry. Such industrial operations are coming to an end and a new phase in the river's life is at hand; one in which nature and humanity work in harmony and regional quality of life is enhanced.
