Do you have 4-8 hours a month?
Do you like to drive?
Do you like making a difference in someone's life?
The American Cancer Society has an amazing opportunity for volunteers to drive cancer patients to their medical treatments. Often transportation for cancer patients can be challenging for a family who has limited time or lives out of town.
This is one of the most rewarding things to do as a volunteer, a chance to meet our patients and kindly help them to their appointments and safely home. We work with volunteer drivers to schedule rides when you are free and in the general vicinity of where you live.
For a volunteer who wants to truly make a lasting impact, and has the time and likes to drive, becoming a Road to Recovery driver might be a perfect fit. Thank you for reaching out to us for more information or to sign up.
