Here at Hospice Touch, we server many terminally ill patients, many of which are requesting "Pet Therapy" or Pet assisted visits. We love our animals and they can provide a comfort to patients that humans cannot. If you have a trained, licensed dog that you could share with our patients, we need you! Visits are social and for companionship and are no more than one hour. A friendly smile and a few words are all you will need. Our patient and your dog will provide the rest. Description
Remita Health provides end of life care to persons who can no longer benefit from curative treatment. The typical hospice patient has a life expectancy of six months or less. Most receive care at home. Some reside in nursing homes or assisted living. Services are provided by a team of trained professionals-physicians, nurses,counselors,therapists, social workers, aides and volunteers- who provide medical care and support services not only to the patient, but to the patient's family and loved ones.
