Position Description:
The administrative assistant is responsible for general assistance in the office and receiving program participants and members of the public in the office.

Skill Level 3: Ability to use the computer, Make spreadsheets, Typing, Phones, Fax machine

Openings: 3 positions
Date: Summer Internship & Fall Internship (Please specify)

Top three qualifications for intern:
1.) Experience in a professional setting
2.) Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
3.) Capacity to work on computer, keep detailed records
Specific responsibilities include:

General office assistance

  • Receive visitors and respond in a friendly way to their needs
  • Answer telephone calls whenever possible and respond to callers’ requests with a friendly tone of voice
  • Process daily incoming and outgoing email
  • Provide general support for The Morlock Foundation including cloud filing, general copying, supply ordering, and mailing preparation
  • Maintain agency archive
  • Research
  • Data entry into cloud and client files

Special event support and assistance

  • Update display board materials
  • Assist in The Morlock Foundation with special events
  • Assist in press release/publicity distribution
  • Assist in planning process
  • Represent the Morlock Foundation in a positive way with clients and the broader community
  • Contribute to a collegial atmosphere and other work of the agency as needed

Qualifications:

* Work independently and as part of a collaborative team
* Work with people in a wide variety of settings and situations
* Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
* Capacity to work on a computer and keep detailed records

We are a HIPAA complaint office, all clients cases are private and confidential.

The awareness program:working in our community to make the community aware of issues and helping to make a difference with the issues.

The preparedness program: working to make our community safe, knowledgable, prepared for disaster.

F.O.C.U.S: Helping children who age out of fostercare to have life long relationships to help them not become one of the 70% who end up in the hospital, in jail or on the streets.

Voiceless TPR Rule: (formerly Samantha's Rule) working to make a difference for children (voiceless) to be protected when receiving an order of protection.

AmberLena Kincare: provide kin to care for a child upon need.
