Make a Difference in the Life of a Child

Penfield Children's Center, a leading non-profit provider of care for children with and without special needs, has opportunities for volunteers to help in our creative classrooms for lchildren infant to six. Two to three hours a week on a regular basis, playing with the children, helping with snacks, story time, arts etc. Our kids come from homes 95% below poverty level, and 80% are diagnosed with special needs. Wonderful opportunity to make a difference.

We have attached parking for volunteers.

Hours for volunteering available (volunteer 2-3 hours at the same time each week in the same setting so you will get to know the children and teachers): M-F 8:30-11:30am; M-F 3-5pm. If you have experience with infants, also: M-F 11:30-3pm

As a leader in child development, we help infants and young children with and without disabilities to reach their full potential through education, therapy services and family programs. To carry out our mission, we deliver research-based programs at the critical time of early brain development when physical, cognitive, language, social, and self-help skills are formed. Today, serving over 1,800 children annually, Penfield offers high quality integrated services and a safe and stimulating environment for children, families and community partners to maximize early development and learning.
