About

Please join us for Pumpkin Carving or the Halloween Zoo-Tacular. Both events are scheduled at the OC Zoo, Irvine Regional Park, 1 Irvine Park Road, Orange, CA 92869. Details are listed below:

Pumpkin Carving & Decorating, Friday, October 28th 9:00am-noon

  • Volunteers will carve and decorate about 120 pumpkins that will be used for decoration or given to the zoo animals on the next day during our Halloween Zoo-tacular event.
  • If volunteers can bring their own carving supplies/knives, that is very helpful.
  • We can accept groups of 15-20 volunteers, and a group leader may contact us to schedule volunteer shifts for the entire organization.
  • The group leader must provide names for each volunteer prior to the event.
  • Each volunteer must complete C Parks Short Term Volunteer Application - more info on this will be emailed later to the group leader.
  • Attire is casual - clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (jeans & t shirt are fine).
  • Parking fee will be waived for all volunteers.

Halloween Zoo-Tacular, Saturday, October 29th 9:30am-1:30pm or 12:30-4:30pm

  • We encourage half the group to schedule the 1st shift and the other half the 2nd shift.
  • Each volunteer must fill out an OC Parks Short Term Volunteer Application - more info on this will be emailed later to the group leader.
  • The group leader must provide names for each volunteer prior to the event.
