We're looking for caring individuals who are interested fostering rescue cats. You would offer a safe and loving sanctuary until the rescue kitty finds a forever home with an adopter. We don't show the kitties in cages, so please be able to welcome pre-screened visitors to meet your foster kitty.

Mission Statement
The Peace Shrine is an abode of peace. It came into being to offer the teachings of liberation and unconditional love wherever there is suffering. We embrace all faiths. Our teachings are founded upon spontaneous realization that is beyond name, form, and ritual. When we awaken to the refuge of the tender heart, this is grace. Liberation in love is for all to experience, because love is truth. The temple offers a women's shelter, an animal shelter, prison library outreach, and hospital chaplaincy. Chintamani books also publishes spirituality and self-help books, kids books, and Eastern translations, as well as literary journal Lalitamba.

The Peace Shrine is a contemplative temple nestled in the heart of Manhattan's Upper West Side. We offer a women's shelter, an animal shelter, prison library outreach, and hospital chaplaincy. The temple also publishes literary journal Lalitamba, as well as spiritual books.
