Waiting for a loved one who is in critical condition can be a very scary and stressful time. Volunteers who serve in the intensive care waiting room can help alleviate this stress by being the friendly face that welcomes guests to the waiting room, the one who lets them know what to expect while waiting, and the one that can provide information about the Medical Center and find out how their loved one is doing. Many volunteers who serve in the intensive care waiting room have gone through a similar situation and feel good about being able to help others that are going through a very difficult time.
