We are looking for someone to teach basic Spanish to a group of senior citizens (native English speakers). PEP for Seniors is a small non-profit organization that provides seniors with social and nursing services as well as a variety of classes, lectures, trips, etc. Our program is designed to keep our seniors independent, healthy, and active. Lately, our members have been asking for a beginners Spanish class. We are looking for someone to take on this volunteer opportunity, once per week. PEP is open Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. Unfortunately, we cannot accomodate volunteers on weekends or evenings. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, or if you are interested in this opportunity. Thank you!

Mission Statement
The goal of the Parkchester Enhancement Program (PEP) for Seniors is to assist continued community residence of individuals 60 years of age and older, enhance their health, quality of life, well being and independence.
Description
PEP provides a variety of services and activites to the community, allowing each individual a point of entree to the program depending on their needs at a given time. Newly retired residents may look to the PEP program for recreational or volunteer opportunities, while frail homebound older adults might engage PEP when needing in-home services. Program activities consist of: Case services provided by Social Workers, health services provided by our Nurse, education, group activities and trips.
