Disaster Responders meet the challenges locally and nationally to deliver the American Red Cross mission by alleviating human suffering in the face of emergencies.
OPEN TIME DAYS
Local disaster responders may commit to shifts during a disaster based on their availability.
National disaster responders may commit to two week deployments based on their availability.
To maintain active status one must participate a minimum average of two hours a month or 24 hours per year.REQUIRED TRAINING

Disaster Services:? An Overview
Required training for the activity of interest.? Training occurs in advance of a disaster relief operation and can range from 10 hours to 30 dependent on responders choosen volunteer path.
Training can be in a classroom or online.? There is no cost for the training.
Drills and exercies where appropriate.
