Are you a creative, flexible, self-starter who wants to teach ESL (English as a Second Language) to adults? Volunteer positions are available to teach highly motivated adults who are seeking to better their English. Many are learning English for specific purposes such as obtaining a better job, to help their children in school, and to become a U.S. citizen.
Interested volunteers should be able to read, write and speak English fluently. It is not necessary to be bilingual to be an instructor. As an ESL volunteer you are committing to be available for a specific amount of time. Volunteer applicants must have the ability and willingness to teach in a patient, kind, and respectful manner to people of all walks of life. Previous experience greatly appreciated but not required. Orientation and training will be provided. Morning, afternoon and evening ESL Instructors opportunities are available Monday thru Thursday at MAM and at several nearby sites. Available shifts include: 9am-12pm, 12:30pm-3pm and 6:30pm-9pm.
If you have questions or are interested in volunteering, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 713-574-7540. Thank you for your consideration!
