We offer services to the community through basic skill-building and academic enhancement for at-risk children and adults. These programs are designed to help build self-sufficiency skills for academic and employment success, personal achievement and dignity. Our programs are designed to break through the barriers to education that many residents in our area face.

Our Adult GED Program provides free individualized assistance to adults in preparation for the GED exam. We are looking for volunteers to assist the students in Math and Language Arts, there may be some Science and Social Studies at times. We focus heavily on math, because that seems to be the most challenging subject for most students.

We are looking for tutors on Monday mornings at our GED tutoring session at COTS homeless shelter

The time frame is between 9:00am and noon. You can tutor the whole time of come for part of it, for example, 9:00am-10:00am.
