Our Adult GED Program provides free individualized assistance to adults in preparation for the High School Equivalency/GED exam. We are looking for volunteers to assist the students in Math and Language Arts,and some Science and Social Studies at times. We focus heavily on math, because that seems to be the most challenging subject for most students.

We are looking for tutors on MONDAYS from 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM and THURSDAYS from 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM at our tutoring session located at COTS.

You can tutor the whole time of come for part of it, for example you could help 2 PM - 3 PM.

Tutor once a week, once a month, or more/less often. We are happy to work with your schedule.

We continually accept volunteers. All experience levels welcome, we will provide orientation/training.

Description

The St. Vincent and Sarah Fisher Center continues it's long tradition of service and dedication to those in need by providing programs focused on educational growth and skill development for children and adults.

We offer: Free GED Tutoring for Adults and free After-School and Summer Tutoring for Children.

We have multiple locations for our GED Tutoring Program-

Main Campus, NW Detroit- corner of Burt Rd. and Grand River
