PLACEMENT PURPOSE
To provide a timely response to disaster incidents in the county and to ensure the health services needs of those affected are met
OPEN TIME DAYS
The Day Disaster Action Team is on-call weekdays Monday through Friday from 5am to 5pm. Members must sign up for a minimum of one on-call shift per week.｠ During an on-call shift, the volunteer must be accessible by phone and willing to respond immediately to local disasters if called.｠ On-call shifts are for a 12 hour period.
｠
Limited Responders for Health Services are only called to the scene if there are health needs created by the disaster.｠ Often, Limited Responders for Health Services can work with clients via phone and do not need to go directly to the scene of the disaster.
