PLACEMENT PURPOSE
To provide first aid care to the injured or ill until the victim can be released to family, friends or emergency medical personnel.
OPEN TIME DAYS
- All volunteers are expected to work at a minimum of three events per year, with a minimum of one fourhour shift at each event
- Events are usually scheduled on weekends
- Events with long hours will be split into 2 shifts
- Volunteer Orientation
- Must have ability to establish and maintain effective public and staff relations
- It is necessary to remain calm in an emergency
- If volunteer has not had Blood Borne Pathogen training, then that training will be given by First Aid Station Manager
