Mission Statement
The Ottawa Network for Education (ONFE) works with education, business, government and community partners to develop programs that enrich public education in Ottawa. ONFE (originally the Ottawa-Carleton Learning Foundation) has launched over 40 innovative programs since its inception in 1985. Our programs harness the resources of the Ottawa community to help students succeed in a rapidly changing world. We also act as a catalyst for discussion and collaborative action around local education issues.
Description
ONFE is the only organization in Ottawa that brings together all the local school boards and post-secondary institutions along with business leaders to discuss issues of mutual interest, including talent development and employment. Dialogue is the first step - then we put ideas into action. ONFE has played a lead role in developing over forty innovative education programs since its inception in 1987.
ONFE facilitates many community partnerships to help support both the academic and the non-academic needs of students so each child has the opportunity to succeed.
