ORGANIZATION: American Cancer Society

A Cancer Resource Center (CRC) is a designated space in Riverside Cancer Care Center where trained the American Cancer Society volunteers are able to provide assistance to patients and caregivers facing cancer. Volunteers assist them with calling the American Cancer Society 800 phone number or by showing them information they need from the American Cancer Society website (cancer.org) on computers available in the Cancer Resource Center. The volunteers also help by providing materials and booklets that help with each person's specific situation. It is a wonderful way to make a positive impact by personally providing assistance to patients and their family. This volunteer opportunity is Monday-Friday 8-5 p.m. Volunteers can pick a day and time that best suits their schedule.

All you need is a warm heart, a desire to give back, and some free time!

  • Comfortable working with cancer patients and caregivers
