Tool Library volunteers help check out tools to members and check returned tools back in.
You do not need any prior knowledge about tools, only a willingness to help out. Who knows, you may just learn a few things about home repair yourself! It is also a great way to meet your NE neighbors and connect with the community.
Volunteers are needed to cover shifts on Saturdays 9-2 and Tuesdays and Wednesdays 5:30pm-7:30pm.
Shifts are about 2-3 hours long - and there is always another volunteer to help make the time fly by quickly.

Description
The Northeast Portland Tool Library is a sponsored project of Redeemer Lutheran Church, a 501(c)(3) organization. Northeast Portland Tool Library works towards a future where Portland is vibrant, sustainable, and a thriving city for people of all income levels by providing homeowners, renters, and business owners of the Northeast with tools and the knowledge to use them.
Our hours are Saturdays 9am - 2pm and now Wednesdays 5:30pm-7:30pm all year around. Starting May 2014 we are also open Tuesdays 5:30pm-7:30pm.
