It's that time again, on Monday, September 10th Hudson Gardens will begin constructing its annual Straw Bale Maze! Our Straw Bale Maze is an annual attraction for visitors during our busy and beautiful fall season and also supports our many school group visitors!

Volunteers are needed to help with the manual construction of the maze from 8 AM - 12 PM. We’ll be unloading approximately 600 straw bales (each bale weighs about45 lbs) from a truck and carrying them short distances to construct the maze. We’ll be kicking up a lot of dust and straw during the morning, so we do not recommend this opportunity for those who have respiratory issues or straw allergies.

Please wear long thick pants (e.g., jeans), boots or other sturdy closed toe shoes, and work gloves. Long sleeves, a hat, sunscreen, and glasses/sunglasses are also highly recommended. Hudson Gardens will provide water, face masks and snacks to keep us going!
