Description : The Community Service Leader will help lead Reality Changers’ community service events. These activities are designed to expose students to service activities and give them opportunities to make a meaningful impact in the community they live in.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise students at least two (3 or 4 preferred) weekend community service events per month.
Many of these events are scheduled but intern is encouraged to seek new and exciting projects for Reality Changers students to participate in
Prior to each project, call and remind students about the upcoming project and any additional notes (i.e. dress code)
Arrive 30 minutes prior to announced time to greet & welcome the students when they arrive at the Reality Changers Building
Drive students to/from event
Ensure that each student is actively participating and having a positive volunteer experience
Communicate with project leaders about any concerns or ideas
Research additional projects students can participate in on an individual basis.
Maintain Community Service Records
Maintain check in and check out lists for each community service event
Update community service records for students by adding in their hours on the Master Spreadsheet
**Volunteer is responsible for maintaining a sign in sheet in the "Volunteer Intern Log" so Reality Changers can accurately keep track of service hours rendered.

Description
Reality Changers helps inner-city youth in 8th-12th grades become the first in their families to go to college. Our graduates have gotten scholarships to attend Harvard, Dartmouth, Columbia, Duke, UCLA, USC, UC Berkeley, and more!
