CARE Volunteer- Arlington/Mansfield

Lion Hospice is currently recruiting volunteers for the Arlington and Mansfield area.

Our volunteers offer emotional support and practical assistance to patients and families, usually in the patient's home or nursing facility. Duties can include helping with activities of daily living, sitting with the patient, providing reassurance or companionship for patients and families, and always being an attentive and sympathetic listener. Ways to volunteer include direct patient socialization and family support, administrative in our offices, bereavement, general (errands, yard work, etc.)

As volunteers, you are a integral part of a team that works toward offering comfort, dignity and often, simply, the feeling of not being alone. If you are eighteen, we'd love to have you join our group of music, pet and gardening therapy volunteers.

Free orientation and training provided and required prior to start date
